Mockingbird Valley Corporate Development Internship (1 position available)
Description:
This internship is available to applicants interested in entrepreneurship, business, organizational development, education, and sport administration. Interns will assist with the creation of programs intended to foster mutually beneficial relationships with the business community in and around Louisville. Opportunities for financial payment are available to top candidates with an entrepreneurial attitude.

Mockingbird Valley IT and Web site Internship (2 positions available)
Description:
IT, Web site development, and social media dictate the scope and capabilities of organizations today. This internship places students with an interest in the aforementioned areas at the forefront of the organization's quest to be a leader in the modern sport industry. Interns are asked to assist with updating the MVSC Web site and social media applications, provide online content, and initiate best practices for the Web.
Additional Requirements:
A strong background in computers is preferred but not required. Excellent written communication skills are a must have. Interns may work from home or on site as long as objectives are met.
Mockingbird Valley Retail, Design, and Merchandise Internship (1-2 positions available)
Description:
This internship is intended for someone seeking a career in clothing design, retail management, merchandise sales, or business. A little known fact is that MVSC is one of the largest non-retail location purchaser’s of clothing and sport related merchandise in Louisville. MVSC needs interns capable of managing the design, purchasing, and accountability process. Interns will work with all MVSC programs to develop cost-effective practices and supply chains while analyzing the viability of merchandise sales. Opportunities to design logos and clothing are also available depending on intern’s level of interest and capabilities.
Additional Requirements:
Experience working in retail, merchandise, sales, marketing, and accounting are helpful. Candidates with interest in clothing design and manufacture are also encouraged to apply.
Mockingbird Valley Lacrosse Internship (1-3 positions available)
Description:
Lacrosse is the fastest growing youth sport in the region. With three local clubs in Louisville alone, there are ample opportunities for interns interested in helping shape the future of the sport. Interns will be required to work alongside the program director, on a daily basis while assisting with all components necessary in developing the Mockingbird Valley lacrosse program. Emphasis will be placed on any combination of the following depending on the applicants abilities and interest: schedule development, marketing, sponsorship acquisition, coaching, The successful candidate will help to develop the sport of lacrosse in Louisville by meeting with relevant publics and creating cost-effective programming.
Additional Requirements:
A passion for the sport of lacrosse and connections to the local lacrosse community are preferred. Excellent written and oral communication skills and exceptional time management talents are also expected.
Mockingbird Valley Field Hockey Internship (1-3 position available)

For undergraduate and graduate students who desire a career in the recreational sport industry, administration, administrative assistance, or hope to one day be an entrepreneur. Interns will be required to work alongside the program director on a daily basis while assisting with all components necessary in developing the Mockingbird Valley field hockey program. Emphasis will be placed on any combination of the following depending on the applicants abilities and interest: schedule development, marketing, sponsorship acquisition, coaching, The successful candidate will help to develop the sport of field hockey in Louisville by meeting with relevant publics and creating cost-effective programming.

Mockingbird Valley Soccer Internship (1-2 position available)
Description:
Following the recent success of the 2010 World Cup, soccer is fast becoming one of the most popular sports in the United States. Undergraduate and graduate students who enjoy the sport and hope to pursue careers with organizations such as the MLS, USL, MISL, PASL, or YMCA are encouraged to apply for this position. Interns are asked to assist with a variety of the most popular programs at MVSC, including marketing and managing the Budweiser Winter Tournament, the adult leagues, and the pre school development program. Successful candidates will have opportunities to interact with all faucets of MVSC including the Web site, graphics, advertising, coaching, and operations components.
