|Ross Hopkins currently serves as the Youth Soccer Director. Ross grew up in Dublin, Ireland where he played soccer for many of the country's top clubs. Most notably with St. Kevin's Boys clubs where he played in their affiliation academy with West Bromich Albion of the Premier League in England.
Ross came to America to attend Bellarmine University and during his playing days as a Bellarmine Knight, He was one of the most decorated athletes in Bellarmine soccer history with two All-American, three All-Region and four All-Conference awards. Playing from 2007-10 under Tim Chastonay, he led his team to a 42-27-8 record and four straight appearances in the Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament . Ross finished his career second all-time in assists with 25 and tenth in goals scored with 30. He graduated from Bellarmine in 2011 with a degree in psychology.
After his collegiate days, Hopkins played with the professional indoor soccer team, Louisville Lightning for two seasons. He also had stints with the Cincinnati Kings and St. Louis Lions of the Premier Development League.
Currently Ross is a boys coach for the Kentucky Fire Juniors and also helps as an mens soccer assistant coach for his alma mater Bellarmine University. Ross currently holds a United States Soccer Federation "D" license and is planning on taking the USSF "C" license this upcoming summer.
