Mockingbird Valley’s Emma Brown Wins Kentucky Girls Player of the Year

Emma BrownMockingbird Valley Soccer Club would like to congratulate Emma Brown, a member of the 93 Girls team, on being named Kentucky Youth Soccer Girls Player of the Year. Brown is currently a senior at Manual High School and is verbally committed to attend the University of Kentucky in the fall of 2011. She is one of Kentucky’s most decorated players. Brown has been on the Kentucky State ODP team since 2005 and was selected to the Region II team in 2008, 2009, and 2010. Brown was recently named to the list of “Players to Watch” by Topdrawersoccer.com.

As a high school standout, Brown has been a four year starter for Manual, named to the All-State 1st Team in 2008 and 2009, and selected to the NSCAA/Adidas High School Girls All-Region IV Team in 2008 and 2009. During the past club season, Brown helped the MVSC 93 Girls win their second consecutive State Cup and reach the semi-finals at the 2010 Region II Championships in Dayton, OH.

The 93 Girls were the first team in MVSC history to win its group and reach the region semi-finals.
