PROGRAM ANNOUNCEMENT

Parents/Coaches/Players:

Thank you for registering to participate in Mockingbird’s outdoor lacrosse league originally scheduled to play at E.P. Tom Sawyer Park.  After cancelling games last week due to high heat index, and with the forecasted heat today, we must cancel this evening’s games as well.  With increased chances of postponement of future dates, we have decided to move the league indoor to MVSC’s climate controlled facility at 3000 Mellwood Avenue. However, the league will now be played on Saturdays, beginning this week. The league will consist of 6 games total.

League Dates: Saturdays, June 26 through August 6 (No Games July 3)

Weekly Schedule:
9 – 10 a.m. – 3rd & 4th Grade League (skill warm up followed by 40 minute game)
10 – 12 noon – 5th & 6th Grade League (skill warm up followed by 40 minute game)
11 – 12 noon – 7th & 8th Grade League (skill warm up followed by 40 minute game)

League News:
3rd & 4th Grade – I will split them into 4 individual teams and issue jerseys this Saturday. Please arrive no later than 8:45 a.m.  Maximum number per roster is 14, games format will be 7 v 7. If you are unable to attend the first game, we will hold your jersey.

5th & 6th Grade – I will split them into 6 individual teams and issue jerseys this Saturday. Please arrive no later than 9:45 a.m. Maximum number per roster is 14, games format will be 7 v 7. If you are unable to attend the first game, we will hold your jersey.

7th & 8th Grade – there are currently 24 kids registered, so I will split them into teams each week allowing them to play with and against their friends and offer a better balance of experience per team. I will issue jerseys this Saturday. If you are unable to attend the first game, we will hold your jersey.

I realize this move to Saturdays from Tuesdays may present a conflict for some players, for this I apologize. However, this move allows us to guarantee no future postponements of games and allow for more playing time for each individual player. If you are unable to participate, I am happy to issue you a full credit for any MVSC program or refund.

Please contact me directly at 472-1026 or lacrosse@mockingbirdsoccer.net with any questions.

AMERICAN INDOOR LACROSSE ESTABLISHES DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY PRESENCE

ORLANDO, FLORIDA -- American Indoor Lacrosse (AIL) today unveiled its two official websites: www.AILacrosse.net and www.AILacademy.net .  The launch of these websites is an extension of AIL’s branding image program which was rolled out two weeks ago.

The new websites are the centerpiece of the AIL’s digital strategy to integrate their membership management and league administration programs with their player, coaching and referee training and certification programs.  The newly-designed destination, which is actually a pair of integrated websites, was created by Minneapolis, Minnesota-based TST Media, who also created AIL’s branding image in conjunction with its logo concept development.

The websites feature news and editorial content, video capabilities, player registration management, social and community features, and sections for goalies, news/media, and general information about the indoor game including rules and regulations for competition.  The site also includes direct access to its league website technology, also created by TST Media.

The American Indoor Lacrosse platform locations will feature the American Indoor Lacrosse Association and the American Indoor Lacrosse Academy.

The Association will organize and operate competitive leagues for youth, middle school, high school, and adult players and will provide training and certification programs for indoor coaches and referees.

The American Indoor Lacrosse Academy will provide Early Childhood and youth programs, introductory programs/leagues for ice hockey players, summer academy development programs, slow motion video player analysis and training, and team building sessions for players and teams. Long-term plans include expansion to international locations.
